About Haunted Dorm
Haunted Dorm is a dorm survival game you can play free in the browser. Claim an empty room, lie on the bed to generate coins, then spend that income on a stronger door and defensive buildings before the Dream Hunter breaks in. You can play online at the top of the page.
What is Haunted Dorm?
It is not a hallway walker and not a classic lane tower defense. The whole match happens in one dorm room: the bed runs the economy, the door holds the Dream Hunter in the hall, and buildings turn coins into firepower.
- Genre
- Dorm games / horror tower defense. Playable solo.
- Maps
- The usual picks are Normal and Ice & Snow — they look different underfoot.
- Where to play
- Google Play and the App Store.
- Developer
- Haunted Dorm is published by Mihuan.
How to Play Haunted Dorm
The first match is about claiming a room, starting the coin loop, and keeping the door alive until you evade the Dream Hunter.
- 1
Find an empty room
During the opening countdown, look for a bed that is not already taken. An empty room is the only place you can start the economy.
- 2
Lie on the bed
Get in bed as soon as you claim the room. Standing in the hallway does not generate coins and leaves you exposed to the hunter.
- 3
Generate coins
Sleeping produces coins over time. That income is what pays for the door, the bed upgrades, and the first defensive buildings.
- 4
Upgrade the bed
A higher bed level speeds up coin income. Some upgrades also require the door to reach a certain level first, so check the panel before spending.
- 5
Reinforce the door
The Dream Hunter hammers the door from the hallway. Upgrade it early enough that it does not collapse before your turrets come online.
- 6
Build defensive structures
Tap an empty floor tile to open the build menu. Some buildings shoot, some earn extra income, and some repair the door. Place what the room is missing.
- 7
Survive the Dream Hunter
The match ends when the result says Successfully evaded the dream hunter — or when it breaks in and catches you. Keep income, door HP, and firepower in balance until CLAIM.
Core gameplay
Coins, lightning, door HP, and empty tiles are all in play at the same time. Economy, the doorway, and building each handle one job.
The economy loop
Coins only come in while you are in bed. Spend coins on a Mildy Game Console to make lightning. Crystal rocks in a built-up room can show +8 gold. If the door is already failing, stop feeding this loop first.
The door is the front line
The Dream Hunter hammers the door from the hallway. Check HP and price before you upgrade; repairs spend lightning. If door HP is dropping, hold the door before you grow the economy.
Building in the room
Tap a “+” tile to open Architecture. Turrets shoot, consoles convert coins to lightning, and repair benches fix the door. Empty tiles do not mean you have to fill them.
How you win
You win when the screen reads Successfully evaded the dream hunter. Getting caught is a loss. A door that is still standing only means the match is still going — it is not the result screen.
Look and setting
It is a top-down grid dorm: dark walls, tight hallways, and a top bar that shows coins, lightning, and who is still alive. When turrets fire, you can see the beams hit the doorway.
Two maps
Start on Normal or Ice & Snow. Normal has a straighter main hall; Ice & Snow has more corners and cross passages. Learn the nearest door on the map you just loaded — do not run the other map from memory.
Players and the Dream Hunter
Players are small cartoon figures; coins pop off the bed while you sleep. The Dream Hunter is the long-haired ghost in the hallway. Hammering, closing in, and breaking the door are one pressure line.
Reading the HUD
The top bar shows which resource an upgrade spends. Portraits show who is still alive. Build, upgrade, and shop windows cover the hallway. When the door is in trouble, open only what you need and close it.
Tips
Most first-match losses are not the ghost. They are time spent in menus, staying in a taken bed, or filling + tiles while the door is already dropping.
Get in bed during the countdown
Set language and check the shop before the round starts. Inside a room, only ask if the bed is free. Once the task flips to Complete and coins start ticking, the match has actually begun.
Split your money three ways
Keep enough for one door upgrade or repair, enough for the next building you actually want, and a little slack. If the door keeps losing HP, pause the economy loop.
Open fewer windows
When the hunter is close, close the shop and language menus. Tap the door, read HP, level, and price, then upgrade or repair. Fewer misclicks help — the door still loses HP either way.
Stay in your own room
Do not leave to watch another room go dark. Once you are in bed, run economy and the doorway from inside. Wandering makes no coins and makes it easy for the hunter to catch you.
